Trans-Siberian Virtual Train Trip
In 2006 the main train of Russia, train #1/2 which runs from Moscow to Vladivostok, celebrated its 40 year anniversary.
Russian Railways made up their mind to create something in honor of the famous train and all people who are fond of traveling — a multimedia virtual tour.
The virtual trip, much like an actual one, begins at the train station in Moscow. We are greeted by the conductor and enter the carriage. The train starts and our adventure begins.
There are other passengers in the carriage: a drummer, Bigus; a photographer, Mr. Johns; a designer, Annik; and a hereditary Siberian, Pyotr Petrovich Mamin, with his granddaughter. Each has an interesting story to share with us along the way.
For instance, Bigus is fond of eating well and a fan of funny hats. He is bringing a gigantic snail from Moscow to Vladivostok. But alas, the snail escaped at the very beginning of the trip.
Much like on the real train Rossiya, the trip takes six days. But as visitors while away the time conversing with fellow passengers and admiring the scenery, the time manages to fly by. The train will pass by Krasnoyarsk. They will see the Baikal Lake, and will arrive and stand on the platform station of Erofei Pavlovich.
The project was developed in collaboration with KsanLab.
